Kroger Cincinnati Coupon Policy

CINCINNATI REGION:
Double Coupons/Manufacturer coupons:
o Manufacturer coupons of $0.50 or less will be “doubled.”
o Manufacturer coupons of $0.51-$1.00 will be redeemed for $1.00.
o Manufacturer coupons over $1.00 will be redeemed at face value.
Ø This does not apply to “free”, Kroger, Catalina, Retail Food Store coupons, electronic coupons on the Kroger Plus card or items prohibited by law.
o The only coupons that would be doubled that say “do not double” are the blinking ones on the shelf.
Ø Any other coupons brought into the store that state “Do Not Double” will not be doubled.

Pharmacy Coupons:
o Competitor pharmacy coupons are not accepted.
o LCM or Competitor Coupons may not be used in conjunction with our $4 Generic Program.

General Coupon Policy:
o Limit one (1) manufacturer coupon per item.
o Items must be purchased in sizes specified on the coupon.
o Amount refunded cannot exceed the price of the item.
o Expired manufacturer coupons are not accepted.

BOGO:
If we are having a BOGO sale and a customer has a BOGO coupon for the same product, the customer must still pay for two of the items. In this case, there will be a total of four items for which two are purchased and the other two are free.

PRINT-AT-HOME (PAH) COUPONS:
We only accept printable coupons if they scan properly at checkout.
We do not accept “free product” printable coupons that have no purchase requirement.
Buy-one-get-one-free coupons and other values that have a purchase requirement are acceptable but will be MUCH less common than traditional value-off coupons.
We do not accept coupons for more than about 75% of a product’s value without advance notice.
Legitimate PAH coupons will not be for a high value relative to the cost of the item. For example, a $2.00 off coupon will be acceptable for a product that normally sells for $5.00 or more, but a $2.00 off printable coupon for a product that sells for $2.25 is unlikely to be legitimate.
Coupons will be rejected if they appear out of proportion or blurry, or are obvious duplicates.
Legitimate PAH coupons are never copied, sold, or traded. Nearly all coupons are “non-transferable,” meaning they should not be photocopied or scanned and distributed to others.
Coupons will be rejected if they appear to have been altered in any way.
PAH coupons can be checked for validity at: http://www.printcoupons.com.

Okay Amanda…Tell me where I went wrong here…..

    Just left Kroger:

First problem was that when she asked me for my Plus card I stated that I wanted to wait because I did not know what ecoupons I had loaded and did not want to use my ecoupons. She rung my order and asked for the Plus card again. Again I repeated what I said at the beginning. So, I handed her my coupons and she stated that she could not deduct my coupons UNTIL I scanned my Plus card stating that the register would not accept them until the Plus card was scanned. I asked: “what would happen if I didn’t have a plus card? that means I can’t use coupons?” and she responded “then I’d offer you one, but I can’t take your coupons until you card is scanned”. I told her that made no sense to me, but had to scan the Plus card or she wouldn’t take my coupons.

They had the Pillsbury Grands marked down (manager’s special) for .49 cents. I had coupons: (1) .50/2, (1) .40/3 and (1) .30/3. She refused to accept them since they were “more than the price of the items”. I asked if she could just adjust them down and she said “no”. First of all, the only one that would be “more than the purchase” was the .50/2…the rest would NOT have caused that. The .40/3 would be .49*3=1.47-.80 (.40 doubled) = .67. The .30/3 would be .49*3=1.47-.60 (.30 doubled) = .87. She refused all 3 coupons stating they were for more than the product!

Can you tell me what you would have done in both these instances? I am SO angry and want to call corporate! She cost me around $7 by not taking my coupons BUT it is a matter of principle to me…I am a principle type person.

I had the same issue with using Kroger coupons but not manufacturer. Not sure which ones you were trying to use but I was also told that in order to use my kroger coupons I received in the mail I needed to use my plus card. Maybe the cashier got the two confused
